What is Camp Spookamaga?
Spookamaga is a Halloween event that takes place each year in October at Camp Lakamaga located in Marine on St. Croix, near Forest Lake, MN.

- An opportunity to celebrate the birthday of Juliet Low, the founder of Girl Scouts.
- An opportunity for older Girl Scouts to provide frights and fun for younger scouts and their families.
- An opportunity for older girls to display their creativity, leadership and organizational skills.
- An opportunity to meet and work with other girls from all over the council area.
- It's an encampment.

Ways to Participate
Visit Camp Spookamaga
Girl Scouts and their troops registered with Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys, and their families are invited to come to the haunted grounds of Camp Spookamaga to visit the fright sites created by older Girl Scouts. There is a small admission fee for all kids and adults that includes a snack. Come with your troop or with your family. A troop leader or adult guardian must accompany children. No costumes, please.

Host a Fright Site
Girl Scout troops, 7th grade or up, registered with the River Valleys council are invited to create a fright site at Camp Lakamaga. Help provide a fun and safe Halloween event for younger girls and families. Girls choose their site and plan a theme. Troops bring their own decorations and costumes as well as haunt their site.

Join the Witches Crew
Adults who are crazy about Halloween should consider joining the Witches Crew. Crew members help in creating the Spook-tacular extras that add to the excitement of fright sites built by the Girl Scouts. Learn more here.
