| Spookamaga is a Halloween event that take place each year at Camp Lakamaga. It is an opportunity to celebrate the birthday of Juliet Low, the founder of Girl Scouts. It's an opportunity for older Girl Scouts to provide frights and fun for younger scouts. It's an opportunity for older girls to display their creativity, leadership and organizational skills. It's an opportunity to meet and work with other girls from all over the council area. It's an encampment and... It's a Blast! You can participate in any of the following ways: If you are a Girl Scout troop, in 7th grade or up, you are invited to create a fright site at Camp Lakamaga. You can help provide a fun and safe Halloween event for younger girls and families. See our "Host a Fright Site" page to get the details. If you are a Girl Scout, registered with Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys, you, your troop, and your family are invited to come to the haunted grounds of Camp Spookamaga to visit the fright sites created by older Girl Scouts. See our "Spookamaga Visitors" page for more details. If you are an adult who is crazy about Halloween please consider joining the Witches Crew in creating the Spooktacular extras that add to the excitement of fright sites built by the Girl Scouts.
